V kolikor gre med domačimi sodobnimi alter rock zasedbami iskati čvrsto, kompaktno, hrupno, brezkompromisno, hreščečo in docela izdelano osnovno rockersko trojko, ki glasbo črpa iz lastne potrebe in užitka, se verjetno najprej spomnimo na Nikki Louder. Noise-rockerska skupina iz okolice Kamnika po odrih neprestano rohni že od leta 2007, leto kasneje so presenetili karavano Klubskega maratona, od takrat pa jih poznamo po udarnih in energičnih kompozicijah, kar navsezadnje dokazujejo na svojih treh studijskih dolgometražcih „Alain, I’m Sorry“ (2009), „Our World Died Yesterday“ (2011) in lansko „Golden Men“, ki je zvok zasedbe malce bolj zacementirala in zdefinirala.
Nikki Louder so odrska poslastica, ki s svojo strastjo in predanostjo, zakoreninjeno DIY estetiko vedno zvenijo bolje na odru kot na albumih. Močni, agresivni in garažni kitari, udarnim bobnom ter surovemu basu, sledi zamazan vokal, s katerim hreščijo in vreščijo preko noise rockerske etikete. Vsekakor bend, ki ga je potrebno redno preverjati v živo, kjer vedno znova živijo in uživajo.
Junijska Poslušalnica 69 bo v rokah Matjaža Gerenčerja, ljubitelja glasbe, čigar recenzije lahko berete na Rockonnetu in Hrupmagu. Na poslušalnici se lahko ustavite na nič več in nič manj kot 69 postajankah in izbirate med štirimi sklopi: 1. devetdeseta! (trip hop, big beat, drum&bass, post-rock…); 2. krautrock! (motorik, psihadelija, kosmische); 3. Morricone! in 4. ostali drobiž, znan in obskuren, raztresen na kontinuumu avantgarde in popa.

Slovenian noise-rockers Nikki Louder are a prime example of a band that is relentless and passionately addicted to what they do. After their highly praised debut “Alain, I’m Sorry” (2009) and sophomore album “Our World Died Yesterday” (2011), last year their own small label named Rnka Rnka published a cassette EP of unreleased songs from the album, and the band also did numerous local shows spiced up with a small tour across the region, central Europe and even in UK.
Nikki Louder’s stage performance is full of passion, dedication and rooted DIY aesthetics that always sounds better live than on records. Their thundering rhythm section forms thick and solid base over which noisy guitars and screaming vocals dance wildly.
After the concert you will be in good hands of our music lover and music critic Matjaž Gerenčer. He will make a selection of 69 albums and you alone will decide which songs will be played. Selection will be made from four different musical stations: 1) the 90’s! (trip hop, big beat, drum & bass, post-rock …); 2) krautrock! (motoric, psychedelic, kosmische); 3) Morricone!; and 4) other known and obscure leftovers found on continuum of avant-garde and pop.
